As a result of the great archaeological discovery of Nueva Esperanza, both Codensa and EPM undertook the largest archaeological rescue carried out in Colombia, with the UT INGEDISA-ACON responsible for the rescue of the Codensa area. In agreement with Codensa, EPM and UPTC, the municipality of Soacha inaugurates in February 2018 the Archaeological Exhibition Hall Nueva Esperanza, which includes a sample of more than 300 pieces that depict us the life and customs of the Herrera and Muisca culture that inhabited the region of Salto del Tequendama and that date back to 300 BC until 1,200 – 1,600 AD.
